Dark fruit aromas of boysenberry, blackberry, and ripe plum are lightened by fragrant white floral notes due to Viognier co-fermentation. On the nose, warm spices of black pepper and dried herbs de Provence complement the fruit-forward bouquet and add complexity.
PALATE - Intense & Expressive
Intense blackberry, blueberry, and cherry on the mid-palate are tamed by the hints of vanilla and subtle earthy undertones. Expressive but focused, the tannins are smooth and polished. Herb-encrusted leg of lamb would be a stellar pairing with Block 17 Syrah or enjoy with a simple pot of cassoulet and a slab of crusty bread.
