Our tradition continues of using the native vineyard yeast which adds aromatic complexity, and a beautiful texture,
allowing the wine to truly express itself and the Destiny Ridge Estate Vineyard site. Our Cabernet Franc has consistently displayed ripe aromatics of sweet cherry, plum, and raspberry leaning into its untamed side with bramble berry and native strawberry on the nose. But this 2020 Wild One has gone to charm school debuting soft perfumy notes and a dazzling garnet shimmer in the glass. Opulent and well-structured, the mouth feels smooth and rich for this lighter-bodied wine. Toasty graham cracker notes are accompanied by complex flavors of cassis, blueberry, and a splash of mouthwatering acidity, leading to a long and smooth finish. Try pairing this wonderful Cabernet Franc with a simple plating of warm toasted walnuts, pears, and blue cheese, or something a little heartier such as beef tenderloin medallions with wild mushroom demi-glace.
