Tempranillo is well suited to early ripening, so 2021’s early spring and warm days inspired its small cluster formation and thick skins, creating its broodingly dark color and big warm notes of leather, dried fig, black raspberry, cherry, and cedar. On the palate, Big Shot is full of plum, strawberry, sweet tobacco, and earthy complexity that speaks to a
bigger bolder glass than its lighter appearance may suggest. Well balanced, the slightly powdery tannins and medium acidity play nicely together. The mouthfeel is lusciously smooth and long-lasting. Delicious when paired with grilled lamb chops, vegetarian eggplant rollatini, or go BIG with paella for a crowd.
