2018 Malbec

In true classic Malbec style, this full-bodied wine has an intense, inky dark color and polished tannins. The 2018 season produced intensely colored fruit that led to rich, concentrated flavors of black cherry, raspberry, blueberry, and espresso on the palate. The aromatics display a nice balance between luxurious fruit and hints of French oak. Upon first smell, a pretty floral component is met with ripe blackberry, chocolate, and pomegranate; and is then rounded out with notes of blueberry and plum. The velvety texture and lasting finish of this wine are complemented with a splash of acidity. Although tasting great now, the 2018 Mr. Popular shows the potential to cellar and evolve over the next few years. Please decant.
