2016 Grenache

Our Grenache block is grown high on top of Destiny Ridge where a constant breeze from the Columbia River helps mitigate the intense heat of the Horse Heaven Hills, thickens the skins of the grapes, and allows for optimal ripeness. The 2016 Grenache shows aromas of red currant, plum, and a subtle hint of puff pastry. The flavor profile of this wine is rich with raspberry, blueberry, allspice and hints of vanilla. The velvety tannins are well integrated providing a rich mouthfeel, and excellent depth of flavor that carries through to the finish.  The wine was aged for 18 months and blended with a small percentage of Syrah adding a complexity, color and an extension to the finish. This wonderful Rhone varietal mixed with the excellent Horse Heaven Hills growing conditions combine to produce a wonderful medium bodied wine that excites your palate and lingers in your memory.
