Washington State grown Tempranillos might be rare, but they continue to display a New World style that is beautiful, bold and racy. Deep red and garnet in color, an abundance of black currant, cherry, plum, ripe strawberry and a plethora of baking spices shine through on the nose. Layered with complexity, the lush flavors of plum, raspberry and fresh blueberry are complimented by hints of cocoa and mocha throughout the palate. Bing cherry and red currant flavors are pronounced and invigorated by a burst of bright acidity on the finish. Well integrated silky tannins help add to the lengthy finish and promise that this wine will pair wonderfully with a wide array of foods. If consumed prior to 2019, please decant.
